This drawing is inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi, whereby broken pottery was mended with a mixture of lacquer & powder gold. Instead of being discarded, objects were seen as being more beautiful for having been broken. Imperfections were not only accepted, but highlighted and honored as a part of the journey.
